Jastrow is well known for optical illusions. For instance, the "Jastrow Illusion" is an illusion where one railroad track that are identical in size is larger in size. He also uncovered the fact that people who lost their eyesight after six could see in their dreams , but anyone who list their eyesight prior to the age of five couldn't. Another contribution to psychology was his detection of the unconscious movement of a person's hand. Jastrow uncovered this fact throw his autograph when he asked participants to concentrate on an object. While concentrating on the object, the participants would unconciously move their hands in that direction.
