Hall is an American psychologist who established the first psychology research lab in the United States which is located at John Hopkins University. Furthermore, he founded and became the first president of the American Psychological Association. Another one of his accomplishments was becoming the first person to obtain a Ph.D. in psychology. Hall's interests were primarily in Evolutionary Psychology, specifically child development.
