The messages that were sent out were to call together the Queens Council discuss what to do about Oraton-Marr who is the cause of the trouble that is happening at that point in time. They hear why Lucy was helping him and find out it was because they have her son William. They after hearing what everyone says decide to go through the Ancient Ways led by a Grula-Grula who live in the Ancient Ways to get to the Heart of the Ways were Oraton-Marr is trying to get the egg of the creature that created the Ancient Ways the Orm. Though they leave out the Pathfinder Children from the mission which causes Oskar and Ferdie to think that they don't care about their people only the castle.
