Popeyes is an american multinational food chain of fast food fried chicken restaurants which was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Through the acts of globalization, I am able to eat from a fast food restaurant that is in the US within the comfort of my own home. Globalization has allowed for the integration of various food markets from across the world through the economic linkages created by free borders. Especially since the US and Canada are in such close proximity to each other, the boarders are even more “open” which means more american fast food companies are able to cross over into Canada and thrive due to the similarities in markets.
