Number 3 meant that Simon lost nearly all recruits, all of whom preferred to fight for the holiest place in Christendom rather than Languedoc.

Important Council Canons:
1. The bread and wine used in Eucharist becomes, in REALITY, the blood, and body of Christ: Source of cannibalistic accusations
21. Every Christian must confess their sins to their priest once a year and must receive the Eucharist at Easter.
66. Priests cannot accept money for sacraments
68. Jews and Muslims under Christian rule must wear distinguishing dress

Attempted to regulate all Christians' lives, and the lives of nonChristians under Christian rule.
