The Chinese “Dibao” is the earliest and oldest newspaper in the world. It is a type of publication issued by central and local governments in imperial China. While closest in form and function to gazettes in the Western world, they have also been called "palace reports" or "imperial bulletins".Majority our members had no idea what a "Dibao" is, its purpose and how it became the stepping stone to China's modern newspapers today.
