On Sunday one of the biggest dust storms of the century swept over the Great Plains of the US. More than 1000 feet high, it formed a wall miles wide. People were blinded, and motorists were stranded along the highway, and the dust didn't go away for weeks. The drought made the economic disaster bring thousands of farmers to financial ruin.
