- Day 589
- Andrea asks Rick if he thinks there will be a point where there aren't any roamers left. He hopes so and think they'll reach that point in about five years. Andrea appreciates his optimism. Carl asks how long is left but they set out later before so today has been mostly driving. The group hears motorcycles to their left and are pulled over by a group of four Saviors.
- The main Savior orders them to place their weapons in the road and lie down or be killed. Their property now belongs to Negan. Rick asks the man if he's Negan to which he responds by saying that they are all Negan, and he speaks through them. They're not from the Hilltop and so they pay a different tribute of all their supplies to them. Rick signals Andrea who shoots one of them through the mouth and another in the head. Michonne decapitates the third. Rick tells the final Savior that they're taking over as the Hilltop's protection and so now they get nothing. Pass that along to Negan, and they'll even protect the Saviors for the same deal of half their supplies. The man drives back home, alone.
- Carl remembers one time when Rick brutally murdered a marauder group who were trying to do things to them (see day 407), similar to these guys. Roamers arrive and devour the left over bodies.
