The Pilgrims leaving for America was a world-changing thing because it allowed England to take the next step in colonizing the United States of America. The Pilgrims were English Puritans that disagreed with the English Church’s ideas. When the Puritans landed in America they discovered a whole new world that has been lightly touched by Europe before then. Without the Pilgrims, America may never become a superpower or maybe even a country.
