On July 2, 1505, Martin Luther encountered a violent thunderstorm that caused him to change his future entirely. While stuck in the thunderstorm, Luther, scared for his life, prayed to a patron saint that he would become a monk if he lived. The thunderstorm subsided and Luther joined a monastery, leading him to find flaws in Catholicism at the time, and, eventually, create a new religion entirely.Añadido al timeline:
