The Texas Declaration of Independence was signed on March 2, 1836. George Childress was the sole author and wrote most of it. It was signed during the convention of 1836 at Wahington-on-the-Brazos. All of the 59 delegates signed and declared themselves independent from Mexico.Añadido al timeline:
