One of the most decisive and important battles in American history was the Battle of San Jacinto. Sam Houston and his men launched a surprise attack and he and his men all said this as they were attacking “Remember the Alamo” Remember Goliad”. This decisive battle is historically significant because a small Texan military force defeated a larger and more experienced Mexican army which resulted in the ultimate independence of Texas from Mexico.
