Huron Cemetery on 631 Minnesota holds many key figures in the history of the Wyandot Tribe. In 1855 the Wyandot tribe of Kansas relinquished all their claims to tribal lands in Kansas. Several of the final group of the Wyandot who decided to assimilate are buried at Huron Cemetery. This includes Tauroomee, Matthew Mudeater, John Hicks, Silas Armstrong, George Clark and Joel Walker.
