Joseph Nicéphore Niépce invented photography in around 1826, perfecting it to be used in 1827. The purpose of photography is to capture images and save them to be developed at a later time. Photography greatly helped society in many ways. It not only serves the purpose of entertainment and enlightenment, but it also makes society aware of issues and events the world faces on a daily basis. It creates a form of interconnected between society. With the onset of the internet, circulation of photography greatly increased global interconnectedness.
