Descripción:

A canal between the Albany and Buffalo that allowed western farmers to ship surplus crops to sell in the North and northern manufacturers to ship finished goods to sell in the West. It allowed easier and faster transportation which sectionalism by allowing opinions and ideas on slavery to reach more of the country and more people.
