17 mayo 1954 año - Brown v. Board
Descripción:
This landmark U.S. Supreme Court case made segregated schools unconstitutional. The case was actually a lot of separate cases that were merged into this one. The main petitioner, Oliver Brown, argued against the Board of Education of Topeka. A cause for this case was the segregated schools, which were often less equal. Although desegregation was slow, this case helped to make public schools desegregated and marked a significant victory in the Civil Rights movement.
