7 nov 1811 año - Trail of Blood/Battle of Tippecanoe
Descripción:
Description: A Native American leader named Tecumseh wanted to unite Indian nations against Americans, and drive whites out of their land on a "trail of blood". William Henry Harrison(governor of Indiana) heard of the plan, and gathered an army to meet the Indian forces. At the Battle of Tippecanoe, Harrison's forces destroyed Tecumseh's forces.
Significance: This battle really represents the lack of respect and regard Americans had for Native American rights and Native American culture. Socially, the Native Americans had no importance in the minds of Americans, so Americans had no problem invading their land without any sort of permission.
