Two-week long conference was organised to finalise what could not be done during the first negotiations. Due to Iran, Syria and North Korea blocking the consensus on the final version of the treaty text, the treaty was moved on to the United Nations General Assembly for approval (Kimball, 2017).Añadido al timeline:
