10 mar 1915 año - The British attack at Neuve Chapelle

Descripción:

The British army plan to attack and create a break in the German lines. The initial attack is successful and they are able to break the line, but they are unable to exploit it and the Germans are able to regroup and dig in to a new defensive line. The British re grouped and attempted to attack again but this proved to be a costly failure. The battle was of little importance in the long run but it did prove that the British were able to make a successful attack, if not be able to make anything of it
