The adjunct Restrictive Covenant committee of the Civil Service Commission gave the go-ahead for the former Antitrust Authority head to fill a senior post in the Recanati group.
The adjunct Restrictive Covenant committee of the Civil Service Commission yesterday approved former Antitrust Authority Commissioner Dr. Yoram Turbowicz's appointment, without limitations, to a senior position in the Recanati group.

Turbowicz is expected to be appointed to a senior position at Discount Investments within a few weeks. He was recently mentioned as a possible heir to Discount Investments general manager Dov Tadmor.

As previously reported in "Globes", Tadmor is expected to retire during 1998. Till then, Turbowicz is expected to serve as a member of IDB senior management.

Several months ago, the committee blocked Turbowicz's appointment as Bezeq general manager, due to a possible conflict of interests, as during his term of office at the Antitrust Authority, he handled matters regarding the telephone company. Due to this action, Turbowicz refused the offer on his own volition, although Minister of Communications Limor Livnat had planned to file a high court appeal on his behalf.
