18 mayo 1896 año - Plessy v. Ferguson
Descripción:
A landmark decision made by the U.S. Supreme Court that legalized racial segregation under the “separate but equal” doctrine. Homer Plessy refused to sit in a car for blacks only and was arrested and charged. Plessy argued that his rights were violated and the court ruled that a distinction between whites and blacks wasn't illegal. The court then created the "seperate but equal" doctrine
