The Berlin Wall of a symbol of Communism and Soviet attempts to keep demcracy out of their country. On November 9, 1989, Soviets announced that people were now free to cross the border between East and West Germany. This was a monumental moment because West and East Berlin had come to an agreement and the relations had changed between both states. This event is marked blue because it's a time where democracy would infiltrate the Soviet defenses. Also, it would mark a time where Communism start fading.
