Only the Rówenvlader riders were turned into the Kunen Ludka. Most men and women were not mounted when the Corruption swept through the land, yet their flesh too was warped - twisting into something unrecognizable. Much as the Vourenkinn were affected by the Beasthood, the Rówenvlader of the Plainsland too became hideous beasts, nearly instantaneously beginning to change as the Corruption touched, for their lands were nearly at level with the sea.

It was not a stroke of luck that allowed those who became the Kunen Ludka to retain their sanity. As Elanna transformed swaths of creatures into Arcane Beasts to ward them from the Corruption, Alyka hesitated; how could she bring herself to marr those she considered to be her own kin? As the moments passed, a great many men would be lost to the Corruption, some of them becoming the first Skrekks as their souls were seized by Eterisk himself and warped incompletely into something that was kin to the Kii Wielkien. Only after sensing this wholesale loss did Alyka act, seeking those few who nurtured bonds with other souls with which they could be fused. The goddess realized that it was with their horses that the Rówenvlader were closest with, and so it came to pass that with grief seizing her she did warp those who were astride, fusing them into something that could both endure the Corruption and retain its wits.

So the Kunen Ludka were born, whilst much of the Rówenvlader people fell into beasthood.
