1 ene 1230 año - The Corruption Spreads Throughout Lower Ár

Descripción:

The Vourennac of Dovak Vasamyr experiment with opening tears in the Existence , knowing not what lay on the other side. Eterisk, who had waited for these experiments to grow brazen in their boldness, seized the opportunity and sent its Kii Wielkien through the biggest tear yet made. The beings born in the Inexistence murdered the Vourenkinn mages without allowing them to close the tear, and so the essence of the Inexistence began to seep through it, coalescing with that of the Existance and warping it into something different at a rapid pace. With the tear indefinitely agape, this warped essence quickly began to spread across the Realm.

(It was by Eterisk's doing, acting through Myvala afore she freed herself from the Aspect's thrall, that the Vourenkinn came to know of the Realm beyond the Walls of Eternity and became nterested in breaching it, for it was Myvala who gave the virtue of Remembrance to Lingard, bestowing upon him the knowledge of the Existence's entire history which he in turn bestowed upon the Vourenkinn, if though not in its entirety).

The Goddess Alyka, whom seeking a semblance of solitude after the birth of her daughter Syskaussi and the betrayal of her mate Dúrvit had come to dwell within the Palace of the North Gale at the northernmost point of Ár, sensed as did the other gods that some strange happening was unfolding. As did the Ten upon Stone and the Realm's other gods, she set her gaze on the Plainsland in Ár's southeastern end (Beyond the High Snows) to see to the safety of her wayward Rówenvlader subjects and learned of the horror now consuming them.

The Inexistence's taint transformed all it touched, and human flesh was no exception. The Curse of Beasthood was consuming the Rówenvlader, and all would have been consumed if Alyka did not intervene.

She realized that she could not ward them completely, for the magic at play was not that which she or any other god could command. She compromised, then, giving close to all of her might to the task of protecting both their minds and their souls. This, however, was not enough to save the Rówenvlader. Souls began to change as she struggled to rescue them, and her godly might was diminishing by the moment, thinly spread as she was.

Alyka sought the guidance of Elanna, the Farwatcher, whose conscience lay scattered through the High Currents of Energy and had become one with all the souls in the Realm. The reply of the Watcher was laden with worry, for she knew not what had brought forth this sudden Corruption and far too little was in her power to do to prevent the creatures of Ár from being warped as well. Elanna spoke that not one soul could be properly warded, for none had enough presence to accept such warding in the first place. Desperate, Alyka sought Lingard, who knew as much as any god, but he too knew not what to do.

Finally, Alyka sought Silmara, the Bringer of Life, who despite having given life to nearly every being to walk the face of Ár, she had not watched over her children since the days before even Alyka was brought into the Existence. The Heir of the Aspects seemed despondent to the Lady of Alabaster, and upon inquire she learned that Silmara knew not what to do just the same, for men were not her children but rather of Myvala, who long ago had forsaken her divinity by hurling herself at the Great Nothing.

Alyka implored her to give her aid in any way she could, and Silmara agreed dejectedly. With Elanna she conferred briefly (For it had been in pairing with her mastery that she had given life to the beings of Ár), and together they arrived to the conclusion that whilst one soul could not warded, an amalgame of two or more could be touched and be remade with wards against the Corruption.

Elanna began to fuse many animals into new beings, which she shaped to be tougher, to survive against those beasts warped solely by the foul Corruption, and to earn their nutrition by absorbing energy, with the hope that in doing so they would, in time, consume all of the tainted residues pouring into the lands. These remade beasts, as well as those touched by the Corruption, would become the Arcane Beasts - indistinct from one another in the eyes of men and Vourenkinn.

Bashaira protected the middlelands and the north of Ár from being tainted (Despite its youngness as a deity, the Scaled One held far more power than even Elanna did, for its soul was fed by those of millions of Arsala Dul).
