Hitler kills himself as Soviet troops advance to within two blocks of the Reich Chancellery. Many members of the Fuhrerbunker arrive at similar fates including Eva Braun, Jospeh Goebbels, and Goebbels' wife and children. Hitler and Braun's bodies were cremated to prevent them meeting the same fate as Mussolini and his mistress.
