22 oct 27 año aC - Palatine Hill
Descripción:
One of seven hills, the Palatine Hill is the central hill of Rome and became the center of the ancient city. This hill was the fashionable area to live, affording fine views over the city and clean air. Many imperial palaces were built atop the Palatine hill which is sandwiched between the Forum and the Circus Maximus. It was covered with palaces such as those built by Augustus and Livia (27 BC-14 AD), Tiberius (14-37 AD), Domitian (81-96 AD), and Septimus Severus (193-211 AD). The word "palace" derives from the place name of the Palatine hill.
