1 ene 1917 año - 1917 - The Immigration Act of 1917 was the largest immigration act since the Chinese Exclusion Act. It imposed the literacy tests recommended by the Dillingham Commission, but more importantly created categories of inadmissible persons. Those categories included for the first time not only criminals but also those deemed mentally or politically unfit. The act also expanded the Chinese Exclusion Act to bar all immigrants from the Asia-Pacific Zone.
