3 abr 1948 año - Marshall Plan
Descripción:
The Marshall plan was an American initiative to fund in the recovery of Western European nations, and a few others. Although funded was proposed to Eastern countries, it was rejected by the Soviet Union, as it was seen as an attempt to buy influence. The offer was mostly for show though, as it would not have passed congress and Stalin was almost certain to not accept. The money provided to war-torn countries by the Marshall plan was used to both rebuild structures and infrastructure that had been destroyed, as well as invest in production to stimulate economic growth. While certainly not a miraculous solution, the money did provide a much needed jumpstart to reconstruction.
