As the people of Britain advanced through this time, religion was a big role that influenced people to be better, kinder, and more polite and kind hearted. With religion being a big role, the crime rate in Britain went down, as the church was highly influential throughout society. Cruel games, such as cock fighting, bull-baiting, etc., came to seize as it was frowned upon for hurting and dehumanizing their fellow man. Prostitution had decreased throughout the city as it was a sin and these roles that once the people of Britain lived by had faded away, although it remained legal. The people of Britain had grown kinder and more well rounded with the role of the church growing, as it was shamed to participate in such actions.
