1 mar 1936 año - Germay Occupies the Rhineland
Descripción:
In an act that directly opposed the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler moved troops to occupy the demilitarized zone of the Rhineland. This was demilitarized as a buffer between France and Germany, which was swiftly turned into a tense military border. It sent a message of aggression to the rest of Europe (and especially France), though no action was taken by the League of Nations or any European nation to oppose this action. This marked a major step in Hitler's ambitions, which would be followed by outward expansion before the War began.
