26 agos 1765 año - MA governor's house ransacked

Descripción:

After the Stamp Act was passed, Bostonians found out that the governor of Massachusetts, Thomas Hutchinson, supported it (though in private, he opposed it). A group of angry protestors ransacked his house and destroyed most of his possessions, including much of his collected history on the early history of Massachusetts. This was another example of rising tensions betwen the colonists and the British, as well as protests against the Stamp Act.
