Hitler wanted to get rid of any people that he deemed unfit and to be alive and useless. These groups of people included prisoners of war, Jews, the disabled, and gypsies. He sent them all to work camps similar to the Soviets'. He managed to do this without any other countries noticing and the citizens of Germany. People liked him so much in Germany for creating new jobs, they chose to ignore some of the signs. Nobody could stand up to him because they would most likely get killed. At the camps, women and children were usually sent to the gas chamber because they couldn't work. Others were sent to bunkers were multiple people were in a very small space. The prisoners were starved, abused, beaten, and brutally murdered until the Soviets freed them. This is significant because the Holocaust was the largest genocide ever in history, and the entire world has learned to not let hatred reach that level.
