1 ene 982 año - Erik the Red lands in Greenland
Descripción:
Viking explorer Erik the Red was banished from Iceland for manslaughter. He went searching for some land discovered by fellow Viking Gunnbjørn Ulfsson at the beginning of the century. In 982, he found it, and with Herjolf Bardsson established the first European settlements in North America, including Herjolfsfjord. Brattahlíð, and Herjolfsnes. These settlements lasted for around 500 years.
