3 sept 1939 año - Britain and France declare war on Germany
Descripción:
Two days after the German invasion of Poland, the Allies declared war on Germany. Despite the Anglo-Polish Agreement of Mutual Assistance being the reason for the declaration, the English did little to actually provide aid to Poland, as German Blitzkrieg blew through Polish cavalry with ease. Unlike the Germans, who had been developing new weaponry and preparing for war since 1936, most Allied technology was holdovers from WWI, meaning that years of appeasement and underestimation had left the Allies woefully unprepared for the war to come.
