1 dic 500 año aC - Siddhartha Gautama develops principles of Buddhism
Descripción:
Sitting under a tree near the Ganges River, he gained a sudden and profound insight which he called the “Four Noble Truths”: (1) life is suffering; (2) suffering arises from desire; (3) the solution to suffering lies in curbing desire; and (4) desire can be curbed if a person follows the “Eightfold Path” of right views, aspirations, speech, conduct, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and meditation.
He didn't discriminate against gender or race, the only goal was to find enlightenment and reach Nirvana by focusing on the individual rather than the gods.
