The IFE, or the Federal Electoral Institute, was the formation of a new organization which was responsible for organizing elections of the President and the upper/lower chambers of the legislative body in Mexico by its citizens. It is an independent organization. It was originally created in 1990, was dissolved in 2014, and was replaced by the National Electoral Institute.Añadido al timeline:
