20 nov 1910 año - Revolution of 1910
Descripción:
The Mexican revolution began with a group of liberal rebels and intellectuals challenging the regime of dictator Porfirio Diaz. Diaz had been in power since 1877, and his reign was characterized by an imperial presidency. The revolution was instigated by Francisco Madero, who distributed his Plan de San Luis Potosi to rebel movements all across the nation. Madero had written in his plan to begin a mass rebellion on November 20, 1910. The goal of this rebellion would be to restore the values of the Constitution of 1857 back into the government of Mexico and establish a democratic republic. Armed conflicts began in 1911, and continued until 1920 when General Obregon took power.
