º The murder of Francisco I. Madero and José María Pino Suárez, the president and vice president of Mexico, happened on February 22, 1913 at the Lecumberri Palace in Mexico City.3 It was perpetrated by the commander of the Forces Armando Victoriano Huerta who, after betraying Madero and Pino Suarez, gave a coup d'état and obtained power for little more than a year until his resignation on July 15, 1914.
