On this day in history, the Boston Marathon bombing occurred. The Boston Marathon happens annually in commemoration of the battle of Lexington and Concord also known as Patriots’ Day. The bombing occurred near this finish line and three people died and 260 other were injured. The two bombers meant it as an act of terrorism, and they were identified as 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who died following a shootout with law enforcement.They were not associated with any terrorist organization.Añadido al timeline:
