Descripción:

In 1972 Patrick White became the first Australian to receive the Nobel Prize. He spent many years in Europe where he studied at Cambridge and also worked for the intelligence service in Greece until moving back to Austalia in 1948.
There he supported himself as a sheep farmer alongside writing books. "Riders in the Chariot" (1961) and "The Eye of the Storm" (1973) are two of his most famous novels.

“Reason finally holds a gun at its head - and does not always miss.”
