28 mayo 1830 año - Indian Removal Act - May 28, 1830
Descripción:
This law authorized the president to grant Indian tribes unsettled land in western territories for the exchange of their resource rich land in the south. This was unfair to the Indians and made White privilege and power clear by forcing them to move. About 25% of the Indians, most in manacles died and about 100,000 tribesmen were forced to march westward in the Cherokee Trail of Tears.
