They are the first ten amendments of the constitution and state the guaranteed individual rights of American citizens as well as the controls of the federal and state governments. This includes very important liberties such as the freedom of speech, religion, right to an attorney, and protection against unwarranted searches and seizures. Laws such as these are what has shaped America.
