26 oct 2001 año - USA PATRIOT Act
Descripción:
The PATRIOT act was enacted after the 9/11 attacks and fear of terrorism was at an all time high. The act allowed the government to search the personal phone calls and internet activity of the American people. It was passed within two weeks of the 9/11 attacks and there are almost no checks on the power of this act to allow the government to listen in on American conversations. It is widely criticized for infringing on 4th amendment rights.
