On July 16th, 1969, the space mission Apollo 11 is launched by NASA. This mission was made to put men on the Moon, as at the time, the United States were in a Space Race against the Soviet Union, who in 1957, had launched the first satellite into space: Sputnik 1. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, were members of the Apollo 11 mission. The mission is a success, and Neil Armstrong becomes the first man to step foot on the surface of the Moon. They are able to return to the Earth with their stories, and it is proclaim that America has won the Space Race.Añadido al timeline:
