10 jul 1663 año - Hylenne Dawnlight Establishes the Religion of the Prophet as the New Official Religion of the Kingdom of the Sunborn

Descripción:

It clashed with the other religions because it focused on praising the man more then the god, or entity, and all the other religions were very adamant on praising the gods more than whom they were speaking through.

Also, the religion of the prophet gained credibility due to the existence of the Walkers, in contrast to the Vourenkinn demigods of old.

It clashed also on a theological level, as the Prophet's creed was not concerned with explaining the world but rather with taming it and protecting it. From this it drew much from the Sun's creed, as the sky's dial had only shown the path to those who remained faithful. The sun had not built the world, but its light had brought it to life if not existence. In the dark, time passed untroubled, unchanging and unassuming, but under the light it beat again as an old heart (This is all from the viewpoint of the Sunborn, who awoke in the Easternlands when Aurin, the Sun, and his Lords of Starlight were conceived). The Prophet and his kin were not there to explain the world to the masses; they preached of the the 'now', the 'present', and that nothing was as important as living in the moment. This sat well with the commonfolk, whose earthly concerns were those of planting and sowing, but it never spoke to the followers of the Pantheon of the Betrayers.

Hylenne Dawnlight, a mere child at the time of her coronation, was swayed by the Prophet Augustine and his rhetoric, serving as his instrument rather than the other way around. He was not ill-willed at heart, but he did seek to mend the schisms dividing the various kingdoms, drawn apart from each other by way of their geography, history and the other races they mingled with. By the year 1600, the Mountainbound Fellowship had distanced itself so much from the Kingdom of the Sunborn that few of those who dwelt in the forest or in the mountains would consider themselves, indirectly, under the rule of the King in Sunrise, and the Riverfolk had long since abandoned the pretense of sharing a common ancestry when dealing with both neighboring kingdoms, going as far as sending several Companies of Riverwatchers AND Rill Knights southwards to patrol the border at Riverside and along the Running River.

The Rówenvlader continued to be a problematic people, and the cities of Silverblood were being abandoned with each passing day. The Great people of the west had carved a civilization for themselves and no paragons of virtue such as the Zenith Knights remained to quell the uproar of the masses. Someone needed to do something, and Augustine Rivers planned to be that someone.
