We do know it records the beginning of history starting with creation and obviously includes Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Genesis focuses on creation, Ch. 1-2, and on the fall and SIN, Ch 3. It then gives special attention to the devastating, catastrophic and universal effects of the SIN as sin spread to all and all died, Ch 5. So too, human nature became corrupt at its very heart (Gen 6:5-6) with pervasive and universal wickedness
