No relation to the elder, he converts to a Barbary Corsair from a Dutchman in 1618 after being captured by the corsairs. He moves to Sale and in 119 becomes the president of a republic independent of the Saltine. In the mid 1620s he led galleons into Spain and the Lundy channel where he preyed on the coastal community. He laster raided Ireland in 1631, enslaving the entire population of 108.
