On January 20, 2018, the Women's March returned to NYC. It initially started last year in response to Trump's inauguration into office. It began with participants assembling at 71st and Columbus Ave. It then moved onto Central Park West where it then proceeded to Sixth Avenue and Bryant Park. The Women's March isn't like your ordinary march where people huddle together for one common cause. Instead, it allows women to voice their opinion on anything they feel that needs to be addressed such as the need for more women to vote, marching for minorities, and essentially a future where their daughters can work and succeed in a safe environment. Overall, it instills a sense of empowerment with all women and it serves as a reminder that they are not to be overlooked, regardless of who the president is. Personally, I support them 100% and hope that in the near future, girls of all ages can work and go anywhere without the fear of danger and uncertainty.
