The battles of Lexington and Concord officially began the Revolutionary War. The American separatist known as the minutemen engaged in battle with British soldiers on April 19 1775. The Americans won the battle which started when a British infantry was sent to take an American weapons cache. The war raged on in America until the 1780's and ended with America gaining its independence from Britain.Añadido al timeline:
