Vasco De Gama was a Portugese sailor who made the first voyage from Europe to India. this voyage wax very important for the simple reason of trade. His new trading route made it much more efficient for trade between Europe and Asia. this new trading route opened the doors of success for companies like the East India Company to become popular.
